Poland has one of Central Europe's denser airport networks. Warsaw Chopin (WAW) is the main hub and home of LOT Polish Airlines, with Warsaw Modlin (WMI) taking the low-cost overflow for the capital. Beyond Warsaw there's a solid spread of regional airports: Kraków (KRK), Gdańsk (GDN), Katowice (KTW), Wrocław (WRO), Poznań (POZ) and Rzeszów (RZE). Between them they connect Poland's cities to most of Europe, and the country has become a heartland for Ryanair and Wizz Air.
Tourism has grown fast, with Kraków, Warsaw, Gdańsk and Wrocław pulling in visitors from across Europe and North America. Hotels near Polish airports still tend to undercut Western European prices, and standards have climbed a long way since EU accession.
