Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is the Czech Republic's main international airport, about 17 kilometres west of the centre. In its busiest years it has handled over 17 million passengers and connects Prague to more than 150 destinations. The city is one of the most visited in Central Europe, drawing crowds to the medieval Old Town, Charles Bridge and the Baroque streets around them, and the airport is where most of those visitors land. Hotels near Prague Airport are the sensible choice for early departures, given there's no rail link to the terminal yet.
Public transport runs through the bus network: Bus 119 heads to Veleslavín on Metro Line A, and the Airport Express (AE) goes straight to Prague Main Train Station. Reckon on 40 to 50 minutes into the centre by public transport, or 20 to 30 by taxi.
