Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) handles the bulk of Serbia's flying. It's the home of Air Serbia, which links the capital to more than 50 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and North America, and it moves over 6 million passengers a year as one of the faster-growing hubs in Southeast Europe. Niš Constantine the Great Airport (INI) takes low-cost and charter flights in the south, with Novi Sad and other regional fields seeing only limited service. Most Serbia airport hotels therefore sit around the capital, and hotels near Belgrade Airport make sense for both early Air Serbia departures and overnight stops between connections.
Serbia is outside the EU but lets citizens of many countries in visa-free, so it's an easy place to visit. Its position between Central and Southeast Europe makes Belgrade a common transit point for onward Balkan travel.
