Skopje Airport Hotels

Skopje International Airport (SKP), officially Alexander the Great Airport, is North Macedonia's main international gateway, about 23 kilometres east of Skopje city centre. Wizz Air and Turkish Airlines do much of the flying here, alongside other carriers, with connections to a good spread of European cities. Skopje is a city of contrasts: Ottoman bazaars and Byzantine churches on one hand, and a sweeping redevelopment that filled the centre with neoclassical statues and monuments on the other. If you're after hotels near Skopje Airport, note that most beds are in town.
Regular buses link the airport with the centre in about 30 to 35 minutes. Taxis are at the terminal.
Hotels near the airport
There isn't much right at the airport, so most people stay in central Skopje, a comfortable 30 to 40 minutes by road. The city also makes a sensible base for the Ohrid Lake region, a UNESCO World Heritage site about 170 kilometres to the southwest.
