For one of Europe's smallest countries, Luxembourg moves a surprising amount of freight. Luxembourg Airport (LUX), formally Luxembourg Findel Airport, is the Grand Duchy's only commercial airport, about 6 kilometres east of Luxembourg City, and it's the base for Cargolux, one of the continent's largest all-cargo carriers. On the passenger side, Luxair is the national airline, with Ryanair and easyJet also flying in. Most Luxembourg airport hotels are aimed at the business market, and the draw for hotels near Luxembourg Airport is the short hop into a capital that hosts the European Court of Justice and other EU institutions.
Wedged between France, Belgium and Germany, the country is as easy to reach by road or rail as by air.

The financial sector, the EU bodies and heavy cross-border commuting keep these hotels busy with business guests. With the terminal so close to town, it's one of the more convenient capital airports in Europe for an early start.
