Several hotels near Munich Airport offer a stay and park arrangement. You book one night, leave your car in the hotel car park while you travel, and take the hotel shuttle to the terminal. For trips of three days or more it often works out cheaper than official airport parking.
Which car park is best for Terminal 1?
P1, P2, P3 and P4 are all underground garages directly under Terminal 1, typically a 2 to 5 minute walk. P3 also has EV charging on Level 03. All have a maximum online booking period of 7 days. For longer stays, P7 (multi-storey opposite T1) is the recommended option.
Which car park is best for Terminal 2?
P20 and P26 are covered garages a few minutes from T2 and the Munich Airport Centre. P26 has direct elevator access to the Hilton Munich Airport. P20 has EV charging on Level 02.
How does the free transfer from economy lots work?
Economy lots P41, P42, P43, P44 and P48 are served by bus line 635 every 10 minutes from 03:42 to 00:52. When you pay for parking, the ticket covers the bus transfer to both T1 and T2. P51, P90 and P50 use the S-Bahn (S1/S8) from the Besucherpark stop — the parking ticket also covers this leg.
Is there EV charging in the economy lots?
Yes. P44 has EV charging on Level 04 and P51 has EV charging on Level 01. The Valet E-Charge service at Terminal 2 sends a staff member to charge your car while you are away.
Is there a height restriction in the economy lots?
Most covered economy lots (P43, P44, P51, P90) have a 2.0m maximum height restriction. P41 and P42 are open-air with a 2.0m limit for standard bays. P50 has dedicated spaces for campervans and vehicles up to 8.0m in length.
