Paphos International Airport (PFO) covers the western side of Cyprus, one of the island's two main gateways alongside Larnaca. It sits about 15 kilometres south-east of Paphos city and sees plenty of tourist traffic, especially from the UK, Russia, and Northern Europe. Paphos was a European Capital of Culture in 2017 and packs in an unusual run of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Tombs of the Kings and the archaeological park with its Roman mosaics. Hotels near Paphos Airport put you within easy reach of all of it.
Hotels near the airport
The coastal resort strip runs from near the airport through Kato Paphos and on to Coral Bay, so a lot of beachfront hotels are only 10 to 20 minutes from the terminal. Taxis and car hire are at the airport, and local buses link to the city centre. If your charter lands late at night, common in peak summer, an airport-area room means you can sleep before the holiday starts properly.
