Zagreb Airport (ZAG), officially Franjo Tuđman Airport, is Croatia's largest and the main gateway to the capital, about 17 kilometres southeast of the centre. It runs domestic and international flights all year, with links to the major European cities. Zagreb gets overlooked next to the coast, which is a shame: it's a compact, walkable capital with a fine upper and lower town, museums like the one-of-a-kind Museum of Broken Relationships, and a café and market scene around Dolac. Hotels near Zagreb Airport are a sensible choice for business trips and tight connections.
A dedicated airport bus runs to the Zagreb Bus Terminal (Autobusni Kolodvor) in around 30 minutes, with taxis and ride apps at the terminal.
