Charleroi Airport Hotels

Despite the name, Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL) is nowhere near Brussels. It sits about 45 km south of the capital and 6 km from Charleroi town, and it's one of Ryanair's biggest European bases, with a wide spread of leisure and city-break routes. The catch is the distance: getting to Brussels means a TEC shuttle to Charleroi-South station and then a train, around 75 minutes all in. For an early budget flight, hotels right at Charleroi Airport are the sensible base rather than staying in Brussels and racing down in the morning.
